Surface Sanitisation

The objective of  sanitising surfaces is to kill those bacteria or viruses that are present, however, sanitising procedures must be evaluated for adequacy through evaluation and inspection procedures.

Cleaning teams, however dedicated, can only hope to sanitise a fraction of the surfaces we touch every day. Gym equipment is a classic example of an area that is difficult if not impossible to effectively sanitise.

Genica utilises science in order to reach those difficult areas- electrostatics.

By using electrostatic spraying technology, which creates a magnetic attraction between the spray droplets and the targeted surface, transfer efficiencies can be achieved of 80%, even 95% in certain applications.

The challenges facing cleaning professionals worldwide are often not a result of ineffective chemicals but rather lack of time, resources, and budget necessary to stay ahead of ever-growing public health threats.

This is where touchless electrostatic disinfection technology becomes fundamental in empowering users with the ability to eliminate pathogens more effectively.

Genica combines the efficiency of electrostatic coating with the performance of Byotrol to deliver a pathogen busting service.

Unlike traditional surface sanitisers, Byotrol Surface Sanitiser is QUAT-free and can be used without risk of taint to food.

With no need to rinse and an on-going efficacy against bacteria and viruses between cleans, it offers extended protection against cross contamination. Formulated to kill and neutralise 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses, including common but potentially deadly food borne pathogens such as Listeria, this product continues to work even when dry.

Tested by the NHS and proven to protect even frequently touched surfaces for up to 24 hours.

EN 1276 (bactericidal), EN 13697 (bactericidal, yeasticidal),

EN 1650 (yeasticidal) and PAS 2424.

Effective against Influenza A (H1N1) and Rotavirus following EN 14476.

Quick kill tested to EN 13697 (bactericidal) using 15 second contact time.

Synthetic Surface Sanitisation

3G pitches are the most significant and successful development in synthetic surface technology designed for football and rugby at both competitive and recreational levels.

However, as early as 2007, concerns have been raised regarding the increased incidence of infections incurred through injuries received whilst playing on a synthetic surface.

In 2017 Genica collaborated with a number of Premiership Football Clubs to investigate the level of pathogens on both indoor and outdoor 3G playing surfaces.

The investigation focused on the measurable pathogen levels on the surface of 3G pitches, indoor and outdoor, and the effectiveness of electrostatic fogging as an effective anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti- fungal treatment.

The outcomes of this investigation are that ...

  • Significant evidence exists to warrant the effective sanitisation of synthetic playing surfaces.

  • The sanitising of playing surfaces by vehicle borne electrostatic cold water fogging equipment delivers a 93% reduction in measurable Pathogens.

  • This service could be delivered both practically and cost effectively with minimal disruption to training time.

Hand Sanitisation

GenShield is a non-alcohol hand foamer that offers much longer protection than most hand sanitisers. Neutralising viruses, killing bacteria and fungal spores for up to 8 hours after application.

GenShield is non-toxic and safe to use for humans and animals.
